St. Louis hits road for start of three-game trip; Peterson expected to make NHL debut; Johnston's impact in early going making difference

The St. Louis Blues open a three-game road trip against the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre on Tuesday. St. Louis enters the game with a 2-2-1 record following a 5-3 comeback win over the Columbus Blue Jackets, while Ottawa holds a 5-1-1 record. Forward Dylan Peterson is expected to make his NHL debut for the Blues after being recalled from Springfield of the AHL, replacing Zach Dean in the lineup.
Blues head coach Jim Montgomery praised the team's defensive structure and strong penalty kill under assistant coach Greg Cronin, which ranks fourth in the NHL at 93.3 percent. However, St. Louis continues to adjust its power-play units under assistant coach Vinny Prospal after starting 1-for-11 on the man advantage. Joel Hofer is projected to start in goal for the Blues, while Samuel Ersson is expected to start for Ottawa.
