Roberto De Zerbi has taken his Tottenham Hotspur squad to a training camp in Marbella, Spain, in an effort to reverse their poor form with the club sitting 19th in the Premier League. The Italian manager previously used mid-season team retreats with notable success during his managerial stints at Marseille and Brighton & Hove Albion.
While managing Marseille, De Zerbi organized retreats to Mallemort and Rome that led to strong unbeaten runs and secured Champions League qualification. He also used similar trips to Dubai while managing Brighton, demonstrating a consistent managerial strategy of using team bonding away from club facilities to improve squad cohesion and performance.
