Atlanta's rookie big man faced off against a familiar foe - OKC's Aday Mara - but had to adjust to a key difference in his attack.

Atlanta Hawks rookie Zuby Ejiofor faced a unique defensive challenge while guarding Oklahoma City Thunder center Aday Mara during Atlanta's preseason victory. Ejiofor noted that Oklahoma City used the 7-foot-3 rookie as an offensive hub at the top of the key much more than during summer league play, forcing early adjustments after defensive miscommunications.
Despite the complex assignment, Ejiofor delivered a strong all-around performance to secure Atlanta's third consecutive preseason win. In 23 minutes of action, the first-round pick contributed 15 points, nine rebounds, and three assists while generating crucial stops down the stretch.
