Manchester United will be without six players for their Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid tonight

Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick confirmed that the team will be without six players for their Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid. Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw both suffered injury issues during the weekend draw against Tottenham Hotspur and did not travel to Madrid. They are sidelined alongside Benjamin Sesko, Noussair Mazraoui, Patrick Dorgu, and Manuel Ugarte, who is recovering from knee surgery.
Despite the significant absences, Carrick insisted that Manchester United are not short on squad options. The travelling squad was boosted by the return of Matthijs de Ligt and the inclusion of academy defender Dan Armer, while Amad and Tom Heaton have also recently returned to team contention.
