Arsenal's Max Dowman has won the League Cup's Player of the Round award, following his excellent performance against Ipswich Town.

Arsenal youngster Max Dowman has won the League Cup's official Player of the Round award following a public fan vote. The 16-year-old midfielder earned the honor after scoring two goals in Arsenal's 4-2 away victory against Ipswich Town in the competition.
Dowman beat fellow nominees Ryan Christie, Jorgen Strand Larsen, and Floyd Samba to claim the award. By netting twice against Ipswich at 16 years, eight months, and 15 days old, Dowman broke Wayne Rooney's record to become the youngest player to score a brace for a Premier League club in any competition.
