The numbers support the theory that the Queenslander plays spin as well as anyone, leaving the Aussies with yet another batting order puzzle ahead of the second Test

Australian captain Pat Cummins moved Matt Renshaw down to number five to counter South Africa's spin attack in the first Test in Durban. The tactical hunch paid off significantly, with Renshaw posting scores of 190 and 82 to help guide Australia to a 214-run victory.
Renshaw took the middle-order spot vacated by the injured Cameron Green, while Nic Maddinson was promoted to open. Cummins, coach Andrew McDonald, and selector George Bailey supported the shift after observing Renshaw's proficiency against spin during recent one-day internationals.
