The Story in 60 Seconds

Celtic Shared Ltd (CSL) has lodged an AGM resolution backed by more than 300 shareholders asking the board to hire a professional tracing service. The proposed initiative seeks to reconnect supporters with lost or forgotten ordinary shares dating back decades. CSL director Brian McLaughlin confirmed that the Celtic Trust also backs the proposal, while a major institutional shareholder is currently evaluating it.

CSL highlighted that Celtic has over 27,000 ordinary shareholders, but many votes and dividends go unused each year due to outdated records. McLaughlin emphasized that the non-hostile proposal carries a contingent fee rather than an upfront cost, urging supporter shareholders to appoint him as their proxy to actively cast votes at the upcoming AGM.
