Commanders head coach Dan Quinn was Parsons' first NFL defensive coordinator with the Dallas Cowboys, and he's taking Quinn's side after Washington's overtime mistakes
Green Bay Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons criticized Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels on his podcast for poor clock management. Daniels took a late sack and failed to set up a game-winning field goal attempt in Washington's 27-27 tie with the New York Giants on Sunday. Parsons stated that Daniels' lack of situational awareness and urgency probably cost head coach Dan Quinn his job after a 1-3-1 start to the 2026 season.
Parsons defended Quinn, his former defensive coordinator in Dallas, arguing that players receive thorough coaching on endgame scenarios and that Daniels failed to execute properly. The edge rusher also noted that the miscue could harm Daniels during upcoming contract negotiations when he becomes extension-eligible after his third season.
