Andrea Kimi Antonelli can win the Formula 1 World Championship in two weeks' time, but admits he would be a lot more concerned if Max Verstappen began his run of form earlier.

Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli admitted it would be "very, very scary" if Max Verstappen had begun his current run of form earlier in the season. Antonelli finished third at the Singapore Grand Prix, putting him in position to potentially clinch the Formula 1 World Championship at the upcoming United States Grand Prix in Austin.
Verstappen dominated the Singapore race weekend with pole position and victories in both the Sprint and Grand Prix for Red Bull. Meanwhile, Antonelli noted that Mercedes is still working to understand recent upgrades to the W17 car, while he aims to break Sebastian Vettel's record as the youngest-ever champion.
