Marco Palestra made his Premier League debut for Chelsea, featuring in a 5-1 victory against Bournemouth. The 21-year-old Italy international entered the match in the 72nd minute as a replacement for Joao Pedro, playing approximately 20 minutes including stoppage time. During his appearance, he displayed his versatility by operating on both the right and left wings under manager Xabi Alonso.
Palestra joined Chelsea from Atalanta during the summer transfer window for a fee exceeding €60m. After featuring in pre-season, he missed the opening months of the season due to a muscular issue suffered in early August.
