The Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense has been shaky through four games this season. There was hope that Mike McCarthy would finally fix that unit after years of it being a problem in Pittsburgh. However, it hasn’t gotten off to the best…

Former NFL safety T.J. Ward criticized the Pittsburgh Steelers' offensive play-calling on the Speakeasy podcast, arguing that coach Mike McCarthy gets too pass-heavy despite running back Jaylen Warren finding success on the ground. Ward noted that quarterback Aaron Rodgers requires a steady rushing attack and play-action to be protected effectively.
Steelers Depot's Troy Montgomery agreed with the assessment, pointing to Pittsburgh's Week 4 performance against the Cleveland Browns where the offense repeatedly stalled after abandoning the run. Montgomery argued that while the Steelers cannot rely entirely on Warren, their offensive game plan should run primarily through him.
