Arsène Wener ready to overthrow Gianni Infantino?

Arsène Wenger is reportedly considering running against Gianni Infantino for the FIFA presidency ahead of the March 18, 2027 election in Rabat, Morocco. Infantino's standing was significantly weakened following opposition from Aleksander Ceferin's UEFA and other confederations to the abandoned $4.2 billion "FIFA Forward Enterprise" project. Wenger is reportedly being encouraged behind the scenes by Infantino's detractors to challenge the incumbent.

Currently serving as FIFA's director of world football development, Wenger distanced himself from Infantino in August, claiming he was unaware of the controversial commercial plan. Wenger and other potential candidates, such as Ramon Vega, must officially submit their candidacies by November 18.
