Kawhi Leonard played his first game back in a Toronto Raptors uniform since the 2019 NBA Finals on Tuesday, helping lead Toronto to a 148-98 preseason victory over the New York Knicks' backups. Leonard played 17 minutes after being acquired via trade from the Los Angeles Clippers during the offseason, scoring 21 points while adding five rebounds and two steals.

Leonard converted six of his 12 shots, including four of eight attempts from three-point range. Andrew Wright notes that Toronto's defense will feature an elite defensive pairing of Leonard and Scottie Barnes, which could help push the Raptors back into Eastern Conference championship contention.
