Organizations must decide whether to protect eligible players to prevent them from being selected in the Rule 5 Draft scheduled for Dec. 9. Among the standout candidates discussed are Top 100 prospects Jarlin Susana of the Washington Nationals and Demetrio Crisantes of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Callis and Mayo also highlighted a dozen additional prospects competing for 40-man spots, including Brewers utility player Jett Williams, Phillies infielder Aroon Escobar, and Orioles right-hander Patrick Reilly.
