Former Newcastle United striker Demba Ba has revealed he dreams of returning to St James' Park to watch a match as a spectator. Currently serving as the sporting director at French club Le Havre, Ba explained in an interview with So Foot that he has not been able to attend a game at Newcastle since his departure in 2013.
Ba enjoyed a memorable 18-month spell on Tyneside after joining on a free transfer in June 2011, scoring 29 goals across 54 Premier League appearances. He later transferred to Chelsea for £7 million before retiring in 2021. Ba indicated that once his executive role in France concludes, visiting his former club is a personal priority.
