Guardians star Jose Ramirez expressed regret for a pair of costly fourth-inning miscues that led to three unearned runs for the Rays, who evened the series with a 3-1 win in Game 2.

Jose Ramirez took responsibility for defensive miscues that led to three unearned runs in the Cleveland Guardians' 3-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 2 of the ALCS. In the fourth inning, Ramirez left third base uncovered before committing a fielding error on Ben Williamson's grounder. The defeat allowed the Rays to even the best-of-seven series at 1-1.
Following the error, Tampa Bay capitalized immediately when Liam Hicks hit a two-run single off Parker Messick to establish a 3-0 lead. Guardians manager Stephen Vogt acknowledged the sloppy fielding, while Ramirez expressed frustration after previously helping Cleveland win Game 1.
