Former New York Mets right-hander Freddy Peralta made a statement on Steve Cohen following his ALCS Game 2 win for the Tampa Bay Rays.

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Freddy Peralta addressed New York Mets owner Steve Cohen's attendance following the Rays' 3-1 victory over the Cleveland Guardians in Game 2 of the ALCS on Tuesday. Peralta, who pitched six scoreless innings with six strikeouts to tie the series, stated he was unaware Cohen was present at Tropicana Field but praised Cohen for maintaining good communication and an awesome relationship.
Peralta joined the Mets from the Milwaukee Brewers prior to the season before New York traded him to Tampa Bay at the trade deadline. After posting a 4.99 ERA with the Mets, the 30-year-old right-hander improved to a 3.25 ERA over 55 1/3 innings with the Rays ahead of entering free agency this offseason.
