American comedian Shane Gillis has been in the news for his controversial monologue on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.

Tomi Lahren, wife of New York Mets catching coach J. P. Arencibia, defended comedian Shane Gillis following backlash over his Saturday Night Live monologue. Gillis sparked outrage during his return to host the NBC sketch show after making controversial remarks about women's attire at the gym. Lahren responded via an Instagram post, arguing that people should not be upset by jokes told by comedians.
While defending Gillis, Lahren also addressed women's gym outfits, stating that women do not always dress for men and can wear what makes them feel good. Arencibia, a former MLB catcher, was promoted to Mets catching coach in November after serving as a Triple-A bench coach.
