The Midwest is dominanting early in the League Championship Series.

The Milwaukee Brewers took a 2-0 series lead in the NLCS by defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-4 on Monday. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Guardians rallied late to defeat the Tampa Bay Rays 7-3 on the road to win Game 1 of the ALCS.
William Contreras led Milwaukee's offense by hitting a game-tying home run and driving in three runs, supported by a bullpen that retired 15 consecutive Dodgers batters. In the ALCS opener, Chase DeLauter sparked Cleveland's comeback with a home run off Drew Rasmussen, followed by a tiebreaking two-run single from Nathaniel Lowe.
