Lamine Yamal explained the thinking behind his creative assist during Barcelona's 4-1 Champions League victory over Galatasaray on Tuesday night. Speaking to Thierry Henry on CBS Sports, the Barcelona teenager referred to the trick as 'almost a rabona' after using a feint to set up a goal for Anthony Gordon.
Yamal noted that opposing defenders frequently dive to the ground when he approaches the byline, prompting him to use feints to exploit available space. The forward was named MVP of the match and has recorded four assists in two Champions League appearances this season.
