Wayne Rooney and Jamie Carragher in agreement on Lisandro Martinez after heated Manchester United interview

Wayne Rooney and Jamie Carragher have both criticized Lisandro Martinez after the Manchester United defender publicly attacked the club's board following a 2-0 Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid. Speaking post-match to Amazon Prime, Martinez claimed the club needed to bring in more players to remain competitive, despite spending over £150 million during the summer transfer window.

Carragher described Martinez's comments as awful on CBS Sports, arguing that the defender has had a very poor start to the season. Rooney echoed similar sentiments on Amazon Prime, stating that Martinez went too far, disrespected his teammates, and should focus on improving his own on-pitch performances instead of airing grievances publicly.
