The Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed second-year cornerback Doneiko Slaughter to their practice squad, filling the final available opening. Slaughter had recently been waived following Pittsburgh's Week 4 game against the Cleveland Browns but cleared waivers before returning to the organization.
Slaughter originally joined Pittsburgh on a futures contract in January 2025 and saw action during summer training when Jalen Ramsey and Brandin Echols were injured. He played four games this season, logging 23 percent of the team's special teams snaps, though reporters note he can no longer be elevated from the practice squad under NFL rules.
