The Buffalo Sabres were able to secure a point Tuesday night against the Montreal Canadiens, but the team's injury list continues to grow at an alarming rate.

Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff provided several concerning injury updates following Tuesday's shootout loss to the Montreal Canadiens. Defenseman Rasmus Dahlin is considered doubtful for Thursday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs after suffering an upper-body injury against Florida. Ruff also revealed that goaltender Alex Lyon suffered a setback with an upper-body injury and forward Tyson Kozak has been sent back to Buffalo for evaluation.
The growing list of sidelined players adds to an already depleted roster that includes Conor Timmins, Matt Grzelcyk, and Jason Zucker. The injuries have forced Ruff to consistently shuffle lines during Buffalo's 3-3-1 start to the season, though defenseman Olen Zellweger stepped up with two goals in Dahlin's absence against Montreal.
