The Miami Dolphins are sitting at 0-5, looking for answers to salvage their season, and they are starting with a roster shakeup. As part of those changes, the struggling AFC franchise released a former first-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys…

The Miami Dolphins have released defensive tackle Mazi Smith from their practice squad amid a series of roster moves during their bye week. Smith, who was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, had joined Miami's practice squad in September and played in only one game. The Dolphins cut the defensive tackle to make room for Jordan Jefferson.
Miami's roster adjustments also included cutting running back Jarquez Hunter from the practice squad and bringing back quarterback Brady Cook. At wide receiver, the Dolphins released Ryan Miller and claimed Jared Wayne from the Houston Texans, as head coach Jeff Hafley reshapes the squad following an 0-5 start to the season.
