The NFL is reportedly considering flexing the Week 8 Sunday Night Football matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders out of its primetime slot. The game is scheduled for November 1 at 8:20 p.m. ET, but the league is mulling replacing it with another contest. Any flex decision by NBC requires 12 days' notice, establishing an October 20 deadline for the NFL to finalize a change.
Philadelphia enters the potential change with a 2-3 record under Nick Sirianni following consecutive losses, while Washington holds a 1-3-1 record. Potential candidates to replace the fixture reportedly include games featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings, though a Bills-Ravens matchup is likely protected by CBS.
