The San Antonio Spurs signed free agent forward Terry Taylor to a non-guaranteed training camp contract, while the Sacramento Kings re-signed center Viktor Lakhin to an Exhibit 10 deal. San Antonio reached its 21-player preseason limit with the move after waiving RJ Davis. Meanwhile, Sacramento brought back Lakhin following injuries to frontcourt players Maxime Raynaud, Dylan Cardwell, and Precious Achiuwa.
Taylor, a four-year NBA veteran, is expected to join the G League affiliate Austin Spurs, who hold his returning rights. Lakhin, whose rights are held by the Stockton Kings, could potentially contend for Sacramento's open two-way contract slot due to the team's frontcourt injury issues.
