Charles Oliveira is targeting a shot at Ultimate Fighting Championship gold after his next bout.
Charles Oliveira is targeting an undisputed UFC lightweight title shot following his upcoming BMF title defense against Diego Lopes at UFC 335 on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas. Speaking to Sherdog, Oliveira stated that the UFC must clarify whether reigning champion Justin Gaethje intends to defend his title or retire.
Oliveira noted that if Gaethje retires, he envisions facing Arman Tsarukyan for the vacant lightweight championship. He also addressed criticism regarding his grappling-heavy win over Max Holloway, arguing that he strategically neutralized his opponent and remains focused purely on securing victories.
