18 players signed, and plenty of money to spend for the green machine.

Scott Pryde highlights five potential recruitment targets for the Canberra Raiders as they prepare to navigate the November 1 NRL contract window. Following squad turnover in their forward pack and backline uncertainty, Pryde identifies Newcastle centre Bradman Best, Titans lock Cooper Bai, Roosters forward Nat Butcher, Parramatta middle J'maine Hopgood, and Titans utility Chris Randall as strong fits for Ricky Stuart's side.
With 19 players contracted for 2028, Canberra reportedly has salary cap space available to address key deficiencies after losing middle-third forwards such as Josh Papalii, Morgan Smithies, and Corey Horsburgh. Pryde notes that the Raiders will also need to decide whether to re-sign current off-contract centres Sebastian Kris and Matthew Timoko before turning to outside targets.
