Titans’ Cam Ward Gives Defiant Answer When Asked About No. 1 Pick Struggles

Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward delivered a defiant response when asked whether being the No. 1 overall pick has been harder than expected. Following an 0-5 start to the 2026 NFL season, Ward stated that competing in the NFL is not supposed to be easy. He explained that being drafted by Tennessee was one of his best days because it offered him the opportunity to help turn the struggling organization around.

Ward has won three of his 22 career NFL starts, completing 63.2% of his passes for 896 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions through five games in 2026. Anthony G Halkias II of Heavy notes that while confidence alone will not win games, Ward's resilient mindset serves as an important foundation as Tennessee seeks offensive consistency.
