The NHL could use some modifications to its annual Frozen Frenzy.

Writer Scott Roche argues that the NHL's Frozen Frenzy schedule severely disadvantaged Boston Bruins fans by placing the team in the final 11 p.m. EST time slot on a Tuesday night. Boston defeated the San Jose Sharks 6-3 in Northern California, but broadcast delays pushed the puck drop to 11:15 p.m. EST, concluding near 2 a.m. for East Coast viewers.
Roche suggests several adjustments for future Frozen Frenzy events, including shifting the schedule to a Saturday or moving it to February. Additionally, the writer proposes keeping teams closer to their home time zones and prioritizing high-profile rivalry matchups to better showcase the league's top talent.
