The Toronto Raptors are fleshing their offence out this season, and that begins with taking more three-pointers.

The Toronto Raptors are aiming to expand their offense by taking at least 35 three-point attempts per game during the 2026-27 season. The emphasis was evident in a 148-98 pre-season victory over the New York Knicks, where Toronto attempted 44 shots from beyond the arc and converted 17. Head coach Darko Rajakovic explained that establishing an outside threat creates better spacing and opens up scoring opportunities inside the paint.
All-star Scottie Barnes and sophomore Collin Murray-Boyles both highlighted the team-wide mandate to shoot more perimeter shots, especially with defenses collapsing. Newly acquired forward Kawhi Leonard went 4 for 8 from three-point range in the win, with teammates expecting his presence to draw defensive attention and generate open kickout looks.
