Charlie McAvoy confirmed what Maple Leafs fans feared about the Fraser Minten trade

Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy praised young forward Fraser Minten following a 6-3 victory over the San Jose Sharks, calling him a mature leader and a crucial piece of the team's core. Causeway Crowd writer Scott Roche argues that McAvoy's endorsement underlines how significantly the Toronto Maple Leafs may regret including Minten in the March 2025 trade for Brandon Carlo.

Minten scored two goals against San Jose, increasing his early-season total to four goals and three assists in seven games under head coach Marco Sturm. Roche contends that while Toronto retained a top-five draft pick to select Gavin McKenna, Minten's rapid rise into Boston's top-six forward group will continue to haunt Maple Leafs supporters.
