Generational fandom, getting fans while they’re young, is not dead. It is alive, well and thriving. That’s one of many ways of looking at what the Brooklyn Nets — and New York Liberty — are doing with the latest expansion…

Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment (BSE), the parent company of the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty, announced the expansion of its Brooklyn Basketball youth program. BSE is acquiring three new neighborhood training facilities in Gowanus, Bushwick, and Greenpoint to complement its flagship venue across from Barclays Center. Additionally, the organization is extending its free public school clinics to high schools in partnership with the Public School Athletic League.
BSE leaders, including owners Joe and Clara Wu Tsai and CEO Sam Zussman, view the youth initiative as a long-term investment in building generational fandom. While financial terms were not disclosed, the expanded footprint will feature community grants, fee-based training tracks, and increased clinics aimed at cultivating lifelong supporters across Brooklyn.
