Spanish tennis star Paula Badosa and her coach Pol Toledo have ended their four-year professional partnership. Toledo announced the split on Instagram, reflecting on shared achievements that included an Australian Open semifinal run, a WTA 500 title in Washington, and a return to the WTA top 10. Neither Badosa nor Toledo has publicly stated the specific reason behind the separation or whether it was a mutual decision.
The split comes amid Badosa's ongoing efforts to climb back up the rankings following recurring injury issues. After sliding to world No. 142 earlier in 2026, she recently rebounded to No. 58 after winning a WTA 125 event in Bastad and reaching the semifinals in São Paulo. Toledo stated he plans to rest and recharge before deciding on his next career move.
