The Story in 60 Seconds

Singer-songwriter Alistair Griffin performed pitchside at the Riverside ahead of Middlesbrough's 150th anniversary fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The performance of the anthem "We Shall Be" silenced the sold-out 30,000 crowd before kick-off, marking a special personal moment for Griffin alongside his son Tom and his mother. Middlesbrough subsequently secured an important victory against their promotion rivals.

Originally written with Helen and Joe Hammill of Cattle and Cane for the musical Steel and Iron, the song was inspired by Middlesbrough's motto "Erimus."
