Undefeated bantamweight contender Farid Basharat has been removed from the UFC roster after fighting out his contract. Despite holding a perfect 16-0 professional mixed martial arts record and achieving a 7-0 run inside the Octagon, the promotion elected not to offer him a new deal.
Basharat's contract concluded following a unanimous decision victory over John Garza at UFC 329 in July. Although the ranked contender publicly expressed his intention to re-sign with the organisation, the UFC opted to let him walk into free agency.
