The free-falling Philadelphia Flyers are mired in a franchise-record losing streak to start a season, but they took some semblance of a positive feeling from their latest outing.
The Detroit Red Wings will host the winless Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night as both struggling teams seek a rebound. Philadelphia is mired in a franchise-record 0-5-3 start to the season after suffering a 3-2 shootout loss to the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday. Detroit enters the contest on a three-game losing streak following a 5-4 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils. Red Wings forward Alex DeBrincat, who signed a seven-year, $91 million contract extension on Tuesday, leads Detroit with four goals and eight points this season.
