Denver Nuggets guard Julian Strawther is scheduled to undergo an MRI after injuring his left leg during Wednesday's preseason contest against the Clippers in Los Angeles. The 24-year-old fell while navigating a double-team late in the third quarter, with his leg twisting awkwardly underneath him. Head coach David Adelman confirmed Strawther's upcoming medical evaluation after the game.
Strawther did not place weight on his leg as he exited the floor. The third-year guard had been performing strongly in preseason play, averaging 13.2 points per game across four appearances while competing for a rotation spot. Strawther remains eligible for a rookie scale extension until October 19, or he will face restricted free agency in 2027.
