Seniors from the PGA Tour Champions have reacted angrily to news the $8m pension fund from the PGA Tour has been shut down

PGA Tour Champions players have reacted angrily after the PGA Tour eliminated the senior circuit's $8 million pension fund. The financial pot, which was reduced from $10 million last year, was completely removed as the senior tour is pushed to become financially independent. PGA Tour Champions president Miller Brady communicated the decision to golfers during a recent players meeting.
Several senior players, including Billy Andrade, David Toms, and Scott McCarron, sharply criticized PGA Tour leadership for cutting the longstanding benefit. Andrade called the move criminal, while Brady defended the tour's financial trajectory, citing record overall performance, rising prize purses, and newly established tournaments.
