Last year, the New York Islanders watched weekly as Matthew Schaefer shattered records and went around the NHL making opponents lives miserable.
New York Islanders fifth-round prospect Vladimir Dravecky continues to excel in the OHL for the Guelph Storm. In a recent 5-2 victory against the Sarnia Sting, the Czech defenseman scored a goal and provided a primary assist on the power play, earning first star of the game honors as Guelph improved to 7-2-0 on the season.
The performance follows a two-goal, five-point outing against the Owen Sound Attack the previous week. Dravecky currently leads all OHL defensemen in goals, points, points per game, and plus-minus rating to begin the 2026-27 campaign.
