The White Sox want starting pitching, and the Mariners have it. Could a trade involving an infielder be in play?

Zachary Rymer argues that the Seattle Mariners and Chicago White Sox make logical trade partners this winter, as Chicago seeks starting pitching and Seattle possesses rotation depth alongside a need for infielders. Although White Sox general manager Chris Getz has indicated interest in exploring free agency, Rymer notes that the free-agent starting pitching market features significant risk outside of top options.
Rymer suggests Seattle general manager Jerry Dipoto could consider moving pitchers like George Kirby, Bryce Miller, or Bryan Woo. In return, the writer proposes that Seattle could target young White Sox infielders such as shortstop Colson Montgomery or third baseman Miguel Vargas, given Chicago's prospect depth on the left side of the infield.
