Chris Davies has explained his rotation plan for Birmingham City's squad as the games start to pile up in the Championship

Birmingham City manager Chris Davies has outlined his squad rotation strategy, explaining that evidence shows players should primarily be rested only after significant physical loading. Davies has relied on a consistent core of players this season, with only 16 different starters across 10 Championship matches as the Blues sit fourth in the table following a 4-0 victory over Preston North End.
Davies noted that his squad currently maintains high fitness and continuity without winter pitch wear. Recent workload management included early substitutions for Liam Millar and Jhon Solis after international duty, as well as reduced minutes for Carlos Vicente and Tomoki Iwata during Tuesday's win.
