Nottingham Forest tried to sign a host of players during the summer transfer window, with five new additions joining the football club. Oliver Glasner told…

Journalist Kenneth Perez criticized Feyenoord for not selling right-back Givairo Read to Nottingham Forest for a reported £27m fee during the summer transfer window. Forest and Serie A side Roma had pursued Read, but the Dutch club held firm on their valuation. Perez stated that rejecting that amount for a defender was almost criminal despite the player being named Eredivisie Player of the Month for September.
Nottingham Forest News writer Lee Clarke suggests that Read would have been a risky permanent signing for Forest, arguing that current wing-back Daniel Munoz is a better option under manager Oliver Glasner. Forest ultimately signed five players in the summer, including Munoz and striker Liam Delap, making a future move for Read less urgent.
