The 28-year-old forward is rediscovering a resurgence under the new coaching staff

Edmonton Oilers forward Trent Frederic has been promoted from the fourth line to the second line ahead of Thursday's game against the Utah Mammoth at Rogers Place. The 28-year-old is undergoing a resurgence under new head coach Mike Babcock, earning praise for his physical play and commitment on the ice.
Frederic struggled last season with injuries, producing just four goals and three assists after signing an eight-year, $30.8 million contract following his trade from the Boston Bruins. Babcock noted that Frederic's confidence took a hit from an ankle injury but praised his straightforward, aggressive style of play as he works to regain top form.
