William Byron will race a Jeff Gordon throwback paint scheme on his Hendrick Motorsports No. 24 car this weekend at Phoenix Raceway. The design features iconic red flames over yellow and black, sponsored by Axalta. It will mark the final Axalta scheme before the company undergoes a rebranding with a new name for 2027.
The specific look pays tribute to Gordon's 2013 Axalta design. Gordon, currently Vice Chairman at Hendrick Motorsports, won 93 races and four Cup Series championships during his career. Byron has driven the No. 24 car since 2018, securing 16 career victories.
