The Pistons nabbed an underrated player but also gave one up.

The Detroit Pistons featured on both sides of the "most underrated player acquisition" category in the NBA's annual general manager survey. New Pistons signing Isaiah Joe received votes for his high-volume three-point shooting and championship experience. Meanwhile, former Detroit forward Tobias Harris led the survey category with 20 percent of the vote after joining the San Antonio Spurs.
Writer Aaron Kellerstrass argues that while Joe provides needed bench shooting, opinions on Harris have shifted dramatically since critics previously questioned his signing in Detroit. Kellerstrass notes that Harris provided vital leadership and secondary scoring for the Pistons and will likely deliver similar stability for San Antonio.
