The Eagles’ offense runs through Jalen Hurts, and Philadelphia planned to have him under center against the Panthers. But the quarterback has been ruled out, and the latest update on his return timeline is a concerning one. For a team…

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers due to a calf blood clot. The issue began after he was cleated during a Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. While he played in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars, a Wednesday follow-up exam detected movement in the clot, prompting the team to hold him out.
Tanner McKee will start in place of Hurts as the 2-3 Eagles look to halt a three-game losing streak. A sports medicine physician noted that treating such clots with oral anticoagulants typically takes between 45 days and three months, leaving Hurts' return timeline uncertain.
