With the Oct. 19 opening night roster deadline looming, teams around the league have started frantically waiving players to create space on their rosters.
The Los Angeles Clippers waived 21-year-old guard Cam Christie on Oct. 14 to create roster flexibility ahead of the regular season deadline. However, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the team is open to bringing Christie back if he agrees to sign a two-way contract.
Accepting a two-way deal would allow the Clippers to keep Christie as a developmental player with the G League's San Diego Clippers while retaining flexibility. Fadeaway World suggests this option would benefit Christie by keeping him connected to an NBA roster rather than testing free agency.
