The Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks have discussed a potential trade framework involving Dalton Knecht and Jericho Sims, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line. Under the proposed permanent trade, the Lakers would send Knecht and second-round draft compensation to Milwaukee in exchange for the center. However, sources briefed on the talks reportedly expressed pessimism that an agreement will ultimately materialize.
Los Angeles is actively exploring trade options for Knecht ahead of Monday's regular-season roster deadline, preferring a deal over waiving the 25-year-old guard. Other teams including the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics may also hold interest in Knecht, who saw his playing time decrease last season.
