The Los Angeles Lakers have decided to fully build their team around Luka Doncic. A group of NBA writers has him ranked very high.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been ranked as having the second-best group of point guards in the NBA by The Athletic. The poll of NBA writers placed Los Angeles, led by starter Luka Doncic and offseason backup addition Collin Sexton, behind only the Oklahoma City Thunder's tandem of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Ajay Mitchell.
According to writer Ryan Stano, availability metrics and injury concerns likely prevented the Lakers from taking the top spot. Doncic missed the entire postseason last year with a hamstring injury, while core teammates Austin Reaves and Walker Kessler also missed significant playing time.
